Las Marias, Puerto Rico

Las Marias, Puerto Rico is a small slice of rich rain forest famous for its orange crops.
But it is also well known for coffee farms, honey, and gorgeous tropical flowers more beautiful than I could ever imagine.

Located in the Central Western part of the island, Las Marias resembles a Fairy Tale Land in the clouds and always smells as fresh and pure as it looks.

My husband and I went there on a work exchange where we would stay in a jungle cabin in exchange for our labor on the 36 acre rain forest  property.

The property is recovering from Hurricane Maria, and part of our jobs included re-establishing overgrown gardens and clearing paths, harvesting and processing cacao and building a dog park for the rescue dogs-among many other chores as necessary.
